i like to indulge in some mary j's once in a while.. and i'm about to start my fulltime this june. i just want to find out when the drug tests are (one month before start?), whether there are random drug tests after i start, and how long does it take to get all traces out of my body if i'm only a social smoker?

It seems that submitting resumes on a bank's website is a black hole of time and effort, unless a contact at the bank already has your resume and says you should submit online as well. Is this everyone else's experience, for summer positions in particular?

I imagine it is impossible, but I'm interested in getting more relo money from my top choice (my second choice is offering significantly more relo money AND more salary {not bank though})

Do any of you analysts wear contacts to work everyday? Do your eyes get irritated after wearing them for 18+ hours straight? They must get irritating after staring at the computer screen for so long.

Any general tips?

I was surprised to get an e-mail from an HR VP asking me to have lunch with her before I start in June.

I didn't go through any 1 on 1 interviews before landing this, just 1 campus first round, 1 general wine and cheese and 1 super sunday.

Here's my situation:

I have:
-Only 3 years experience: 6 months in a startup, 30 in Eng, 0 in finance
-I plan on being proactive to get as much as possible from either MBA program
-I want a career in Finance (though exactly where I’m not sure)
-Accepted at Queen’s and Schulich
==> On the whole, placing more focus on post-MBA Career and Networking Opportunity, and perhaps a bit less focus on Content: which should I go to?

Will like to ultimately do IB, which is the wiser choice?

Where can I find some good stuff to prepare for IBD? Any training material or websites please?

What is the best way to prepare for the job of analyst?
