‘I have chosen the bright side’

For some reason I never tire of reading books regarding ridiculous and wildly successful finance guys who absolutely kill it, lose it all, and come out the other side reformed and write a book. I'm pretty certain there is a standard form floating around somewhere for a manuscript to a story like this. Anyway, it is the story of Florian Homm who used to be a hedge fund manager. Now he is reformed, god fearing and basically believes he finally came away from the dark side and found his 'right path.' Here's the article from FT regarding his story and book

This might be worth adding to your reading list if your addicted to books like this. I will say that with the deluge of stories and books like this the one I'm most excited about is the adaptation of Wolf of Wall Street that is coming out... well, i'm not sure when but I'm pretty certain it's soon. Striking while the Iron is hot.

On September 18 of that year, he staggered aboard his private jet in Majorca, with $500,000 in cash stashed in his underwear, humidor and briefcase, and millions more stashed in accounts around the world, and flew into retirement in Colombia, before being forced to go into hiding.

Maybe he is a little more Mcafee then he is forlorn financier but regardless it could be an interesting read for anyone who is slightly addicted to the genre like myself.
