Drones are taking over
Drones are not just for military use anymore. They're available to everyone, and have provided views and vistas we've never seen before. The best thing about them: mobility. They can just get anywhere.
Military, spying, creating amazing footage, agriculture, construction, delivery, surveillance – you name it, drones are there. The hottest application right now is delivery. We all know about Amazon and other internet giants, but did you know that Swiss Post is also officially testing drone deliveries?
Leading countries such as US and UK might be at disadvantage here due to their complex legal systems and inflexibility. Interestingly, India tops the list of drone-importing nations (followed by UK and France). And they are using more and more UAVs, especially following the devastation caused by last month's earthquake in Nepal.
Currently, the biggest issue in the US is disconnect between government regulators and drone operators. Ten days ago, Amazon sent a letter to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to complain about the FAA’s newly proposed drone regulations as being too harsh and a roadblock to its planned drone delivery service. At the heart of the dispute is language in the rules that calls for drone operators to fly aircraft only within their line of sight.
So monkeys, can you imagine a super-highway of drones flying just above the tree line?
It might not be that far-fetched.
How far do you see this going considering all the regulatory obstacles?
P.S. Some of the totally random drone applications:

Have a fucking Banana, sir!
Regulation will intensify. Just recently, a man in Japan sent a drone onto a building with sand from the Fukushima plant as a form of protest against Abe. France reported a drone flying near nuclear power plants.
You only need one of these things to do something cynical (lets not bring war and politics into this) in the public space and you have a shit storm.
The moment I see kids buying them to take fucking selfies, I'm done. If I also propose to my SO using a drone, I probably deserve to be single.
If on the other hand, Amazon want to deliver my shit quickly, I'll have it.
Careful :D

Fuck this. How else am I supposed to limit the exposure of my ugliest kid?
Well, sooner or later we'll have police drones terrorizing people all around the place "to prevent human error".
Cant wait for first anti-drone potato launchers. I can see paparazzi all over the place with drones and big-time attacks on privacy.
