Wall Street's Favorite Bars
Friday. The end of a long week. What better than a craft beer or a nice single malt? Hell, if a frozen silver banana daiquiri with a chocolate shaved fringe on top is your thing...today's the day for it.
Being that I am constantly bombing you guys with my views and opinions, today I want to open up the floor and have you guys drown me in your views and attitudes. The subject is near and dear to my heart...and liver. We've beaten it to death, but it's back for a revival. I want to get your thoughts on the top Wall Street bars in New York City. Where a monkey is always welcome and known to act a fool. I've managed to dig up a link from one of Eddie's old posts about what the hot spots were back in 2009. There's a few more random selections I added, as well.
So let me know what you think of the following places. Rate them, describe them, tell me what does or doesn't make them a real Wall Street watering hole.
I want to know which one of these jungle dives I am most likely to catch glimpse of a monkeys run amok on my next swing through the Big Apple.

Make sure you guys get properly sauced tonight. It's about that time...

Bleecker Heights Taver in the West Village. It has a Five Guys below it and no tourists know about it. Perfect for getting silly after work with coworkers
Midas... TAKE DEWEY'S
Midas... TAKE DEWEY'S FLATIRON OFF THAT LIST NOW! HOW DARE YOU INCLUDE A PLACE WITH SUCH SHITTY TAPS!
That said... there are a few places I happen to like to go after work. PS450 is a decent time. Van Deimen's is a pretty good place for a beer. I'll trek to Raine's Law Room and Flatiron Lounge if I want a good cocktail after work. I've never had a problem going down to the village to find a low key bar to drink at as well. The Blind Tiger Alehouse is a good spot for a beer. The Ginger Man's another great beer hideout. Despite the name, I also recommend The Half Pint down by NYU.

McSorley's is awesome. They didn't allow women until the 70's when they were forced to by the court, they only serve two drinks (light and dark ale), and everyone there is looking to get absolutely trashed. No hipster bartenders to be found either.

McSorley's is awesome! Even people who don't like beer like their ale. A friend told that he once saw one of the bartenders threaten to throw some girl out of there because she tried to order a screwdriver.

Pfalzer, there are so many varieties of that tale, it's not even funny. McSorley's is notorious for their limited menu, and if anyone has a problem with that they can go sod off.

I love half pint! If you are in the area, check out GMT at bleecker and laguardia. Amazing "classy" pub, just opened on St Patricks day. Also Peculier Pub is pretty good, amazing selection of drafts.

Dorsia, while it might not be a true "bar" we have no chance of getting a reservation to actually verify that it is infact not a bar.

I agree. I keep trying to find their ale by the six-pack at beverage places on Long Island, but I never have any luck. Speaking of which, are you on the light side or the dark side?
