Addressing GPA Issues in Applications Post By @Khayembii

I graduated with a 3.02 GPA, majoring in Civil Engineering and Economics. I also failed a class.

My 2 Months Experience as a VC Intern (Open to Questions)

I interned at a small fund that does VC, PE and M&A advisory services. The partners have different areas of expertise so while they focus on different arms of the fund, they often help each other out. This operating model allows them to have multiple revenue sources but makes the rules and responsibilities in the fund vague. I was originally placed under their M&A arm but ended up helping out in their VC business.

Pay Increases for Junior Bankers, a Growing Trend? Post By @Sfruci

This summer, a few banks announced they would begin increasing salaries of junior bankers but only a few banks. Is this a trend that will spread to all banks across the street just to compete? Will this pay rise be enough to attract more people towards finance than Silicon Valley?

Is anyone else like this? Post By @EUGTR

I'm currently in college but I really want to graduate already and start working. Truthfully getting wasted every weekend and doing other stupid shit in school lost it's appeal pretty quickly to me. I know some people would consider college to be the best years of their lives because of all the freedom and what not, but my view of freedom is money

Which BBs are most non-target friendly? Post By @jfinance

Rising sophomore at a non-target state school here. My goal is to break into BB IB after I graduate. I'm assuming GS, JPM, and MS are the least accepting of non-targets, but does anybody have insights on which banks take the most non-targets?

Should Burger King Acquire Tim Hortons? Post By @Maria-Kay

Burger King is in talks to create what would be the third largest fast food company in the world with the iconic (to Canadians anyway) Tim Hortons. Let us know what you think. Great deal, or just another company fleeing the US tax system?
