I interned at a small fund that does VC, PE and M&A advisory services. The partners have different areas of expertise so while they focus on different arms of the fund, they often help each other out. This operating model allows them to have multiple revenue sources but makes the rules and responsibilities in the fund vague. I was originally placed under their M&A arm but ended up helping out in their VC business.

This summer, a few banks announced they would begin increasing salaries of junior bankers but only a few banks. Is this a trend that will spread to all banks across the street just to compete? Will this pay rise be enough to attract more people towards finance than Silicon Valley?

I'm currently in college but I really want to graduate already and start working. Truthfully getting wasted every weekend and doing other stupid shit in school lost it's appeal pretty quickly to me.
