Interview
Met in the office with a few managers and MD's to discuss the valuation role and group. Asked what I knew about the industry and what type of valuation work I had done in school.
Interview Questions
They asked me if this is really something I wanted to do, and were highly skeptical because I had gone to an Ivy League school that I didnt want to use this to move into investment banking in the future. I explained to them that I liked the technical skills that you develop in valuation and also liked that there wasnt as much pitching. They also asked what are the 3 main types of valuation techniques, why would a company have a higher multiple than a company with similar financials, and where I saw my self in 5 years.
