Actuarial trainee in general insurance

I followed the application method on the web and sent a cover letter to them and received instant invitation to an online situation judgement test. My friend did the same and we did the online test together. Although we gave quite different sets of answers, we were both invited to an interview in the London office.

The email confirmation of the interview stated that it would be focused on myself and they will assess my competency level. So I didn't do much study on the industry, market, etc. (naive! Always prepare the unexpected!!)

Went to the interview with 2 people from the team (1 junior actuarial student, 1 manager), the junior was friendly but the manager looked serious.

Usual question to begin with(self intro, why do you like to work for us, etc.). As I was raised in China, they also asked where I would like to settle in the long term which I foolishly said back in China! Was surprise to be asked about the market and also an IQ question. Got nervous (it was my first time to attend a formal interview) and pretty much threw it away.
