Capstone Partners Overview
The Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.
The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.
The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Company Details
Headquartered in Boston, Capstone’s roots are with Arthur Andersen, where in 1996 we built one of the fastest growing, most successful middle-market corporate finance practices in the country. In 2002, the practice was spun out of Andersen and re-branded as Capstone Partners LLC. Since that time, Capstone has become recognized as one of the premier national middle market investment banking firms.
GROWTH
Capstone has fueled its success with some of the industry’s best talent. We have expanded our team by drawing from many larger firms, including JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, H.I.G. Capital, Robertson Stephens, KPMG, Mesirow Financial, Adams Harkness & Hill and Needham & Company. In 2010, Capstone acquired the middle market M&A practice of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, extending our footprint into Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Additionally, Capstone opened a New York office in 2011.
