was then invited back to complete a case study on-site. I got there at 9 am, but received an email from the senior associate I was in contact with that he was going to be late. I ended up not starting the case study until 10 am. I completed about 90% of the case study after two hours then explained my findings.

The "interview" process didn't stop there. The senior associate I was in contact with the most then invited me back AGAIN on a Friday, for which I had no idea why I was being invited back. Mind you, I had to take off at least two days of work at this point from all of the phone and on-site interviews as well as the case study.
Interview Questions
Technical questions were quite easy; out of the dozens and dozens I answered, I knew and understood probably 90-95% of them. The senior associates did have a few funny questions that had nothing to do with work, and they just wanted to see how you responded. I found that very My best friends at private equity and venture capitalist firms told me that their interview processes aren't half as long as what I was subjected to.

They brought me in and I met with the Director of the FCG and someone below him. Now they want me to take a finance test to evaluate my excel and finance skills.
Interview Questions
So why CBRE? They wanted to see how interested I was in Real Estate. They were asking things like: " Do you think you have a strong attention to detail. They were asking how I can relate my sales job to the analyst position I was interested in. He mentioned that they are already pretty far with another candidate and he is from a bank and is much more of a plug and play option but he might not be a good for for their team since his personality may not work. So there is importance on team fit as well as passing the analyst test.

Interview
It wasn't a very rigorous interview process. Short 15 minute phone interview with general finance and real estate questions. Was told on the phone that hiring manager would be in touch to set up in person interview. In person interview came a couple weeks after phone and consisted of meeting with hr, senior manager and managing director. There were some questions about knowledge of real estate industry and specific market knowledge. The interview was more of a fit and ability to express my ideas clearly interview than anything as this is a heavy client facing role.
