Interview
I applied for CICC FICC summer analyst on Feb 2020. The process took quite a long time.
On Apr, I received a 2h online assessment, examing a variety of knowledge: CFA level 1 similar questions, general market knowledge, relevant complex financial maths questions (BSM Models, etc.), and brain teasers.
Received a follow-up interview after 2 days. The interviewers came from Beijing office, asking basic, bahaviour questions like how to deal with a difficulty and what happened on the last internship.
A final round interview happened on May. Similar questions were asked by a group of senior employees by zoom. Not all the interviewers are willing to raise a question - they just listen to the interview together in their office!
Received an offer email after around 1 month.

Some advice: be humble and give a short and clear self-introduction at the beginning. It will be helpful if you leave a positive first impression.

Interview
The entire hiring process is similiar to other IBs. You will be expecting two rounds and each round has three different interviewer across different coverage/industry group. You will expect to be interviewed by Associates and VPs on the first round, focusing on tech problems. (Basic accounting, Valuation, Modeling, motivations and some brain teasers.) The second round will typically be conducted by VPs to EDs and will focus more on motivation problems.(More of chatting and very little Tech problems.) If you pass the inverview, you will be starting a 8 weeks interview session and normally at the end of your summer interview, you will have another round interview that sums up your internship. The last round will typically conducted by senior management at your BGs(IBD department) and they will ask you to introduce what have you done during the summer. On the last day of your summer internship, you will receive a call from HR determing if you've been granted a return offer or not. However, please note that all the offers they sent on the last day are tentative/verbal offers and don't have any binding legal effect.
Interview Questions
Everything is expected except one interviewer asked me to provide a comprehensive proof for a math problem. (I majored in Math and they ask me to provide a proof about continuity. You should be fine if you master your analysis class but even you didn't provide a perfect answer, I doubt it would have many effects on your offer decision)
