Dominick and Dickerman LLC Overview
Company Details
Dominick & Dickerman LLC, founded in 1870, is one of the oldest, continuously operated financial services institutions in the United States. The firm is an historic name on Wall Street, and was one of the earliest members of the New York Stock Exchange (seat #003). Dominick & Dickerman changed its name in 1899 to Dominick & Dominick, following the appointment of Watson Dickerman to the post of President of the New York Stock Exchange. Dominick then built its business over the next 100+ years through acquisitions and the organic growth of various financial services, including private wealth management, research and alternative investments. Starting in 2013 and as part of its strategic growth plan, Dominick decided to more fully focus on investment and merchant banking, divesting all other business lines. In 2015, Dominick reverted to its original name “Dominick & Dickerman” in honor and continuation of the principles upon which its founders based this company.
