Investment Banking Analyst

Applied for position over D&P website. Received email from Associate referencing application and did first round phone interview. Was invited to super-day in NYC. Super-day involved group case study and one on one interviews with around 5 MD's/Directors. Thought interview process wen't very positively and then never heard back from HR for weeks. Finally took it upon myself to email HR for feedback and the head of HR let me know that I hadn't been officially dinged nor was I being extended an offer at the time. About a month and a half after the initial interview I received a brief boilerplate email from HR that I had been dinged. D&P was in the process of being acquired by PE consortium during feedback period which may have impacted offer situation, but the lack of transparency post super-day was unprofessional in my opinion.
