Interview Questions
The most difficult exercise was really the case study. The position was for a quant analyst role but they give the same presntation exercise to all candidates. Basically you are given a file with many infos, in my case it was a report from the IEA with projections about energy supply and demand in several years in the future under different scenario. I was asked to do a presentation about everything contained in the report while given 40 minutes and a blackboard / pens, then two analysts came in to hear about me presenting and asked questions.
Also some guy asked me about the pricing of a power plant.

Got contacted by recruiter. First step was a telephone interview which covered my CV and my past work experience.
A few weeks later I was called in for a group interview session where I was asked more technical questions and how my past experience related to the job.
Once I passed this I had a final 1 on 1 interview with a senior team member which seemed more like a box ticking exercise.

Interview
Cordial interview asking about resume run-through and how prior work experience aligned well with current job description. Needed real world answers to real world problems -- which I provided on-site -- did not wait to prove myself but did so unannounced. Typical trading environment -- high energy, competitive, small tolerance for error. Opportunities available to those willing and able.
Interview Questions
Why EDF? This was a hard question due to the number of directions you can take your answer. I quoted recent events that pointed to their prior and current success. I also included crude's advancements in the industry (Bakken, Canada, Keystone XL) and how my understanding of the crude markets makes me a teachable candidate for future improvement/promotion.
