Interview Questions
1) You have a block of gold with length 7. It is perforated into 7 single units (but they are not cut apart). Say you are an employer and have to pay an employee a block of gold per day of the week. With only 2 cuts, determine where you would cut the block such that you can give the employee a block of gold per day such that you give the entire 7 length gold block after 7 days. Your employee can also give back pieces of gold.

Cut the block into pieces of length 1, 2, and 4. So on the first day, you give the 1 block to the employee (employee has 1 block). On the second day, the employee gives back the 1 block and you give the 2 block (employee has 2 blocks). On the third day, you give the 1 block to the employee (employee has 3 blocks). On the fourth day, the employee gives back the 1 and 2 block and you give the 4 block (employee has 4 blocks). On the fifth day, you give the employee the 1 block (employee has 5 blocks). On the sixth day, the employee gives back the 1 block and you give the 2 block (employee has 6 blocks). On the seventh day, you give the employee the 1 block (employee has 7 blocks)., 2) You have a 10 x 10 x 10 cube made up of 1 x 1 x 1 smaller cubes. Say we removed the outer shell. What is the volume of the cube without the outer layer?

Because the outer shell is remove, the remaining cube is then have a volume of 8 x 8 x 8 = 512.

Some fit/some technical questions. It wasn't particularly conversational/friendly/easygoing. They jumped right in. Know fit questions beyond your resume review: be able to talk about your strengths/weaknesses/failures/what your last employer would say about you...etc. Technical questions went beyond the basic vault stuff, so I was out of my league.
Interview Questions
How much do you know about Foros/Why Foros? This is difficult because the site isn't particularly helpful. Do your research! I said something about how its a small company so the analyst position offers greater exposure, and talked about the expertise of some of the senior bankers there.
Can't remember-- but lots of technical questions. More than vault guide level knowledge! I was surprised to get those
