Fort Washington Capital Partners Group (FW Capital), based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the institutional private equity division of Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. Fort Washington was formed in 1990 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Western and Southern Life Insurance Company (Western & Southern) and is member of the Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG), a Fortune 500 company. Established in 1888, Western & Southern has been investing in private equity since 1984. In 1999, Fort Washington expanded its private equity investment efforts to include third party clients through FW Capital’s first fund of funds offering.
FW Capital began offering fund of funds investments to third party clients in 1999. Today, FW Capital manages six diversified funds-of-funds, two secondary funds, seven customized programs and provides discretionary advisory services to W&SFG. These mandates currently comprise $2.2 billion in private equity commitments for public and private institutions.
