The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Background Check
Interview
For context, I was applying from another fund which I had been working at for 2 years.

Overall 3 rounds

1st round was a 30 minute interview ("sniff" test round) with a portfolio manager. Questions were all very straight forward and simple. Why do you want to work here, why are you leaving your old firm etc.

2nd round was close to an hour with two portfolio managers each asking questions. Given I was working as an equity analyst already, most of the questions were around which companies I liked, and to walk through my thesis. I would say the majority of questions were related to fundamental equity analysis.

3rd round was also with two portfolio managers. This round the questions were much more theoretical around how I would define risk, why or why not is diversification important etc. There were some macro related questions as well: what market indicators do you track and why.
Interview Questions
The most difficult questions were the ones that were most vague and open ended, there was no simple yes/no answer, but a matter of how well you could justify your opinion using logic and examples.

1) What's the most important aspect to consider before further escalating a company as a prospective investment?

2) Do you believe in diversification? Why or why not?

3) Describe a process that you made better in some way. How did you make it better, and what were the results?

4) Describe a situation when you had a view on an investment that was different than one of your superiors. How did you manage the situation?

Interview
I applied through my school's recruitment website and was contacted through the school for an interview. The hiring process consisted of a group interview/info session in the morning and a 30 minute 1-on-1 interview in the afternoon.
Interview Questions
The interviewer wastes little time getting into the technicals. The first question was a fit question and then the interviewer transitioned that into a stock pitch question. The interviewer probed me with questions about industry-specific metrics for the company I decided to pitch so you must be prepared for those. These metrics include leverage ratios, profitability ratios, and other industry-specific metrics. The interviewer also asks you other questions about the industry your chosen stock falls into.

Personality Test
Interview
The interview was essentially an informal conversation about market conditions. There was only one technical question. The most important things to prepare are your market views and stocks to pitch. It's also important to have a pleasant personality.
Interview Questions
What is free cash flow?
Free cash flow is EBIT*(1-t) + Depreciation - Capex - Increase in NWC
It's the cash left over for shareholders and debtholders
What is your favourite stock currently?
Make sure to have pitches prepared for at least two stocks. Focus on the main drivers, then go into valuation details.
