Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was initially contacted through on-campus recruiting. I went to several informational sessions and a career fair at which GS attended. I networked with every person available from operations in addition to the internship program director.
I was asked to interview shortly thereafter. The interview consisted of a 1-on-1 interview with an associate level employee. I then had a 2-on-1 interview with two VP level employees. Both interviews were light on technical questions, but they did ask questions about current events and issues to gauge my interest in financial markets as well as my awareness of them. Both interviews were positive, although not overwhelmingly so.
About three weeks later I received a phone call to inform me that I would not be receiving an offer.
