Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst
General Interview Information
Interview Details
Step 2: Apply. Sent in applications with brief cover letters. Applied to both Technology and Healthcare groups (had interest in both groups).
Step 3: Got an interview for only the Healthcare Group
Step 4: The interview was conducted by an analyst in the group and an associate in the group. The analyst was relatively quiet and the associate led most of the questioning. I had some buyside experience (in an investment management role) so the associate asked me to walk through that experience. He grilled me on some of the investment choices that were made and why I thought they were good/bad. Then he asked me to pitch a company... I pitched him a tech company that did not have profit yet so he asked me how I would think about valuing the company. We talked about forward P/E. He then asked me a few questions about what I thought about the macroeconomic environment and the interview concluded with me asking him some questions about his and his analyst's experiences and the groups dealflow.
No brainteasers and no real technicals beyond the valuation question I described above. Mostly fit and pitch/market focused.
Got a call the following day saying I would not be moving on to the next round.
