Summer Intern Sales Dealer Interview - Sales and Trading
The interview for this internship post consisted of a few stages of competition with fellow candidates-- the Campus Level, the National Level, as well as the Global Level. Such stages were conducted as day-long exercises.
We had to go through numerous challenges, where some seemed almost like university freshmen orientation camp activities. There were games to clear, eg. treasure hunts. There were also puzzles and trivia quizzes to solve. There were presentations to prepare for within a 15 minute reading time where materials prepared by Maybank solely for the interview were given to us. Throughout the process, the interviewers from various different departments in Maybank, including three senior executives (which includes the Head of Talent Acquisitions and Training), observed and assessed the way we do things, etc.
- Examine the containers to see whether there is any difference in packaging, or they have been tampered with. The container with a different packaging or with signs of being tampered with is the poisoned bottle.
- Open up the containers and compare the capsules. The container with capsules that look different from the other 4 is the poisoned container.
- Put one container on the weighing scale and check the weight. eg. 500g. Then put the next few containers one by one, slowly. The container which gives a less than 500g increase in cumulative weight as shown on the weighing scale, is the poisoned container.
