IBD Graduate Analyst

Had intern experiences in some other banks, specifically in M&A. Applied online, received the 1st round tele interview after several weeks, had a day and a half to prepare. Was interviewed by an associate in that position. Started with basic self introduction. Why IBD. Asked about several technical questions such as the links between the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow. Asked about internship experience in detail. "work me through a deal you participated in your past internship". prompted with technical questions along the way such as how you evaluate a private company's equity value. if using capm, how you obtain the beta value etc. Asked about recent deals and my opinions on them. Questioned me on the intention of these deals. Ended with my questions. Overall a very good experience but I was extremely nervous and i missed some technical questions. Highly competitive due to the headcount remained for non-MS intern.
