Was asked how to calculate the Total Addressable Market (TAM) of a certain industry - detailing commercial and consumer markets. Also asked what is the maximum amount of change you must have so that you can't make change for a dollar. How would you value a horse? How do you value a pre revenue company? Was asked quite a few technology related questions, like what industries within tech do you follow and find interesting, what are some unique things to take into account when valuing a tech company, etc.

Interview Questions
No super technical questions, basically probed until they figured you couldn't go any deeper. Also some case questions to test your ability to break down problems and be creative. Also a healthy dose of classic behavioral questions and so know your resume really well obviously. Some tech industry questions to get a feel for how much you follow the news. Know why this company because it's not a huge name so having the right attitude going in is super important and have a good reason why you want to be in it for the long haul

First round interview consisted of tech specific questions and focused on interest in working in San Francisco, interest in the technology industry, and "technical technical" questions. Sample questions include: revenue vs. EBITDA multiple, technology vertical that are "hot" in the market right now, positive and negatives of a high valuation, financial statement analysis, valuation technique walkthroughs. Also included behavioral questions to get to know the candidate better since the firm is fairly small.
