The Interview Experience is a score from 1 star (very negative) to 5 stars (very positive) generated based on the Interview Insights at this company.

The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Cold-emailed both directors, who got back to me within a week and set up phone interviews. The phone interviews were 30 minutes in length and quite casual/conversational in nature. The directors really try to put you at ease and didn't ask me any particularly difficult technical questions. Other candidates (my co-intern) received in-person interviews, but I was on the other side of the country, so the directors thought phone interviews worked fine.
Interview Questions
1) Why don't you go back to the buyside given your previous experience? Are you sure you want to work for us?
2) Walk me through your resume. (Cut me off at certain points and dove more in depth at other points)
3) Walk me through the three financial statements and how they link together.
4) Why do you want to work in San Diego? You go to school on the East Coast; don't you want to work on the East Coast?
5) Why investment banking? Why not asset management, hedge funds, venture capital, etc?

2 interviews. First interview was with a Director. He clearly gained joy out of telling me how useless I would be. Guy was on a major power trip. Second interview with the more humbled head analyst. Interview very focused on the accounting aspect of banking.
