Interview
I met the Vice President of Operations first. The atmosphere was more laid back. He was wearing jeans and an orange striped polo shirt. He was calm and friendly. The interview with him lasted about 35 minutes. It was more or less back and forth conversation about the firm and my role within it. Then I met the Managing Director of HR. She was friendly but asked a few more fit questions. They were nothing too difficult. She said "why are you here", "how did you prepare for this interview", "where do you see yourself in five years" and a few more. The offer was between me and another guy who got it. They said my answers were perfect, but he had more experience in operations - ie. less training costs.
Interview Questions
"What did you do to prepare for this interview?" She basically just asked this question straight out and it caught me a little off-guard. I have never been asked this before, but I just told her the truth which was a perfect answer anyway
I studied the company. I read the WSJ. I looked over old financial models I have built and looked examined operation roles.
