17 year old meeting with Deutsche Bank Director of Risk Management.

I am a pennystock trader and I perform risk management analysis all the time. I don't want to seem foolish nor too uneducated when I meet him. I want to prove my intelligence and show up ready to talk to him. Is there anything I should study or know about before I meet him? Any insight would be helpful

My advice, for what its worth, is to mention that you have experience trading a personal account; however, I wouldn't specify that you trade penny stocks. Penny stocks are often times looked down upon and many penny stock traders are laughed at on Wall Street.

Make sure you know what he does and what his role is within the firm. Have some questions thought out beforehand and don't try too hard to impress him. He will most likely be more impressed with your willingness to learn than how much you already think you know.

P.s. I am curious as to how you landed this meeting as a high schooler? Family friend perhaps?

Talk to him about your returns and why you chose to trade pennystocks. Considering your age, I think that researching the company website and asking him why he chose DB would suffice. Maybe even discuss what colleges you're looking into? This is definitely an internal connection, lol.

I would refrain from speaking about your penny stocks. If you're not in the real market, in my opinion, you're better off talking about a real time trading simulator that you use instead. Even though its not real money, at least you can speak about equities, market news, and research a little better. Just my 2 cents.

Don't overdo it and make it seem like you're going up to him hoping to impress him into giving you an internship or something. Of course be able to talk knowledgably about what you've done but don't get ahead of yourself. View this as a chance to learn about the industry from someone experienced and leave them with a positive impression of you as a rising student.
