5 Solid Interview Tips from GS HR Chief

Business Insider Article

  • Tell your story: "Turn your experiences into a compelling story that reflects who you are, what you have done and how you have made an impact."

  • Do your research: "Know the company that you’re interviewing with – what’s their business, how do they speak about their culture, what are recent initiatives they’ve undertaken."

  • Ask questions and listen: "Ask thoughtful questions that show you’re prepared and looking to learn more about the company, the team and the role."

  • Be authentic: "One of the most important things you can do is to be yourself. Sometimes, candidates can sound overly rehearsed or act in a certain way because they think that’s what the interviewer wants."

3. Ask to use the men's room
4. Take a shit"
