Additional information follow-up (not thank you note)
Hi,
I recently had an interview with a BB regarding an FT opportunity. The interview went pretty well, and the guys I met said they liked me, that I understood what they were looking for. I have sent a thank you letter, and a colleague of mine who worked with the BB for 16 years has recommended me to someone senior to the guys I met.
However, the role is FCA regulated (London/UK). In my current job, I have taken the 3 exams required to become regulated. The only thing left is for the employer to send an application to have me authorized. They do now want to send my application, as I have rejected an extension of my contract.
As these exams are rather rigorous, with one exam about regulations, one about securities and one with derivatives, they can take weeks/months to complete.
In my application/resume there is no information about me having completed these three exams, and I did not bring it up in the interview. Seeing as it can save some time in getting into the new role, as I can focus on on the job training rather than studying for three exams, should I send an email to my contact in the company?
Any advice is much appreciated on this, as I am very keen on this job.
Thanks for your help guys.
