Advice

Juniors should absolutely be gunning for SA spots for next year. Even though banks are scaling back, they still need analysts to do the grunt work of any deal.

Most people are projecting the housing markets to start coming back in spring/summer 2009, and by the time you get to your internship the captial markets will have already digested everything that went down this past week. I would definitely go for an internship in the coming summer.

find another industry you

find another industry you are interested in? you don't recover from loosing "more zero then most countries GDP" in just one year. i recently saw the hk exchange did a perfect V in one day. that is a freaking scary market, talking about high vol.

you should still try, but pushing all in is a bad bet for a while, unless you have an ace up your sleeve.
