Advice on PE SA offer

Hey guys,

So after months of networking, I interviewed with a MM RE PE shop and got an offer for a SA position!

However, currently, I am waiting to hear back on a Elite Boutique doing RE IBD for FT.

I have told the Elite Boutique about my offer and they said they will get back to me asap about accelerating the process.

My dilemma is: I have graduated already, and the PE firm has told me that they cant guarantee I will get a FT offer after; however they will strongly consider it (since they think I can fit in well culture wise)

If I do well in the final round for the Elite Boutique and get a FT offer, which one would you guys choose?

*I am kinda a career switcher into RE so I think I will be happy in both roles and just want to learn as much as I can.

Thanks!

You have to solidify your career trajectory in real estate first before you can answer that question. And with the parameters you have given, this is really a you question.

If you think you would be happy with either roles and you just want to soak up all RE knowledge you can, and assuming you do get a FT offer for the REIB position.... Then a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Haven't heard of many boutiques with an expertise in RE, but I would assume that a FT position would trump an internship given a couple things: 1. deal experience at the REPE shop 2. reputation and brand 3. FT conversion probability 4. exit opps at the elite boutique If this is a highly reputable REPE shop with a decent chance at FT conversion, that might be the way to go, but if that's not the case, then the better option is to go with the FT offer
