Analysts - how do you format your executive summaries?

Does anybody have a go-to format for the executive summary pages in their models that they'd like to share? Obviously it's a huge pain to create a true deliverable (i.e. that you'd feel comfortable putting in front of investors/committee) in excel.

I find that people generally take one of two approaches: either create a few columns, broken up horizontally into different sections, or throw a bunch of boxes onto the page and take the time to painstakingly resize/add new columns/move data around so that it looks nice and symmetrical (or not - I've seen some really good shops produce one-sheets that look like complete shit, like a bunch of unevenly sized boxes thrown on the page).
