any info on these people?

i posted this thread on the hf forum but was hoping someone here would also be able to shed some light:

anybody have any info on a hedge fund in israel called dragon variation? they're the second biggest in israel with 40m USD aum. i'm specifically interested in advice about investing with them or not (not my money damit... friend's) - not career prospects.

other than that, here's their site: http://www.dragonvariation.com/

they're an arbitrage strategy fund, with investment in convertible bonds, dual stocks, and business-distressed assets (not sure about that last name...)

thanks

the hedge fund industry in israel is still largely undeveloped. i'm guessing it's because the high-networth people here usually invest overseas. the largest hf here is apparently only 170mm and 100 belongs to one institution.

so, what about tau? if they're the parent, what does that say about dragon? solid? should sleep easy?

also, what about the investment strategy - the arbitrage strategy they talk about - is it sound? how good? how safe?

edit: final bump
