anyone change dramatically after high school?

For me, I was a slacker in high school. I cared about academics and wanted to do better but somehow just never found the way for myself to go hard enough to do well enough to get into a good college after HS. However, once I got into college, I was super dedicated my first year to transfer to a better university and worked harder than some of the top kids from my HS. Dramatic change in motivation and maturity in just one year.

Anyone else experienced any big change?

I don't think anyone really understands the importance of your college's name until attending class for at least one semester; however, part of that comes from the fact that people don't know what they want to do until they get to college. It was that curious Google search of "investment banking", which led people to this site, and ultimately laid the groundwork to almost every career/education decision they were about to make.

a little bit different for me. I actually had some ideas of what I wanted to do even when I was in high school. (at the time I wanted to do "business"). But I didn't really think much about my future really until senior year of high school, but by that time it was too late. When I got to college was when I was super motivated. I might just be a late bloomer.

I started investing as a junior in high school, so I knew I wanted to do finance, but I just didn't have a clue about what it took to make it to "high finance". Anybody can go to a mediocre 3rd tier state school and become a stock broker, but most people don't have a clue about how to break into Wall Street.

Oh fer sure mane. I also changed a lot from weeks 15 - 25 in utero, literally I grew legs and shit.

My drinkin' problem left today, she packed up all her bags and walked away.
