My wife is a pension consultant for Hewitt and this didn't surprise her, especially after the Towers Watson deal. There'd always been rumors Aon was shopping Hewitt and looks like they finally came through. Hewitt wanted to get back on top and this is pretty much the only way they could after Towers Watson knocked them off. It's probably not going to change much though for people in the consulting side in Hewitt anyway, other than the name on their paycheck. Otherwise, good to see some big activity in M&A....
