Anyone heard of Drexel Hamilton??? Reputation on buy-side?

I am transitioning from active duty military service back to wall street - came from equity sales with a bulge bracket shop. Met with a firm named Drexel Hamilton, started by a vietnam vet. It's kind of a "for vets, by vets" type outfit; they have Iraq/Afghan vets paired up with wall street vets to teach them the business, etc. I do not presently have an active book, but still maintain some buy-side relationships that wouldn't take long to ramp up - the only thing that concerns me is Drexel's rep with the buy-side - do these guys add value or do they just get pity, minority-owned firm business? Do they have a research product that is marketable?

They're being aggressive with trying to bring me in, but I do not want to hook my cart up to a dead horse. If anyone has done business with these guys or has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

Sorry to see this never got any action. I'm currently a first year MBA Candidate and former Marine, and just came across these guys online.

I'll be interning as a Commodities Trader with an ABCD this summer, and am exploring what else is out there for FT roles once I graduate...would love if you (or anybody else) could shed some light on the company now.

I am also interested. I spoke with these guys about 2 months ago as I had just finished undergrad and was told to give them a call back towards the end of the year or early January as they are "revamping" not sure exactly what kind of roles they have and if it would lead to good BB/hedge fund roles. I've tried to reach out to people on LinkedIn but it seems like they only have sales people. I am taking the FINRA SIE next week and afterwards will call them again and see what they got.
