Anything still available? Junior URM Target 3.8GPA

Title speaks for itself. Had a few interviews from hedge funds to consulting but no offers. I'm at a top 5 school, 3.8 GPA, boutique banking experience last summer with a return offer but I'm looking for a big name regardless of group within so I can leverage for an MBB full time offer next year. Seems like there isn't much left-- thoughts?

Are you completely committed to doing finance this summer? If your eventual goal is MBB, maybe you could look into other consulting firms. MBB has already started hiring (not sure if they're finished yet), but many other large consulting firms haven't even begun hiring yet. You could also consider working for a boutique consulting firm and then interview for MBB full time, or work in a business development role at a Fortune 500 firm. These are all paths that work.

Also, if you don't manage to land a "big name" this summer, it's fine - I know people who moved from doing research the previous summer to working at MBB for full-time. While a brand name helps, there are so many other factors that go into the process. Just make sure you're doing something you enjoy in a place where you're making impact. Your background seems strong, so you already have all the tools to make this work. Good luck.

Thanks guys

Not sure if lip service, but the places I was waitlisted at think (MS/GS/JPM) said they were basically done filling and probably won't extend any more offers for 1-2 weeks (until they know full spot availability)

If you have an exploding offer I would just take it.

I don't care who your dad is
