Apartment Sublet in SoHo
Hi all!
So I currently live in NYC, but recently accepted an offer out of state. Unfortunately, I still have 7 months left on my lease, so I'm looking to sublet it out. Here's the basics:
REAL 2 bed / 1 bath (rent is for one of the bedrooms. Roommate is early/mid 20s at a major bank)
PRIME location in SoHo on Spring St. and Lafayette. Right on top of the Spring St. 6 train, 3 blocks from BDFM and NR, walking distance to JZ, ACE and 123 (easy access to Midtown, FiDi, wherever you work). Even with the hot location, apartment is in the back building so it is very quiet (though when you walk downstairs, there are 3 bars on the block, flagship Duane Reade, some of the best food and shopping in the city, etc)
Apartment is fully furnished (comfortable leather couch, nice table, 46'' Sony LCD, etc). Bedroom is furnished as well, and I will even let you keep all of the bedroom furniture (small desk, office chair, some form of a dresser, small area rug, A/C unit and queen size Simmons BeautyRest.. a little over a year old, very very comfortable). Once the lease us up, feel free to sell or keep whatever of it you want.
Available February 1 (or a few days earlier if needed) through the end of August, at which point the lease is up for renewal (furniture is only available for keep if subletted for the entire time left.. if that's not possible, we can figure something out).
Rent is $3,900 a month total, $1,900 for my bedroom (slightly smaller, but still fits all the aforementioned furniture and plenty of closet space.. remember, REAL 2 bedroom). I'll take $1,850 a month and pay the other $50 myself (over 7 months, that's $350)
If you or someone you know might be interested, either PM me or email me at [email protected]. Will be happy to show you the apartment or at least send over some more photos.
Thanks!
To sweeten the deal, I can throw in the set of 8 Manhattan GMAT books if ya want!
To sweeten it even more, I'll actually subsidize it down to $1,700 a month (save $200 a month, comes to $1,400 over the remaining life of the lease)
This is one block from where I live. Sick location. Is that really the flagship Duane Reade though? I know it's the nicest and newest and open 24 hours, but what makes one drugstore flagship compared to others in the chain?
Also .. this is around the corner from The Spring, one of the nicest (hardest to get into) buildings in Soho. John Mayer, Dakota Fanning, and Keith Richards' daughter all live in it.
Actually not totally sure it's the flagship anymore (employee said it was like a year ago) since that new one opened on Wall Street. Still pretty sick though. Actually saw John Mayer in it, and saw Emmanuelle Chriqui down the street 2 weeks ago (off Elizabeth St.). Definitely an awesome area.
1900 for that christ ny is crazy if you havent post on craigslist, best place for subletting
PRICE REDUCTION!!!
$1,500 a month March-May
I can rent out in the summer (June-August) at full price, but I'm willing to subsidize quite a bit for March, April and May. $1,500 for a real 2 bedroom in SoHo is unheard of, but I am sick of paying rent for an apartment I don't live in anymore.
Ok, price reduction for summer now (already filled through the end of April, now looking to fill May through end of August).
$1,600 / mo for May-August. Unbelievable deal. Getting a furnished apartment in the heart of SoHo during prime months for less than what the parents of those poor 20-somethings pay for their shitty 2 bed conversions in Murray Hill.
Let me know if you are interested, and I can set up a time for you to see it.
This is an awesome deal . . . wish I were an SA again . . .
How many roommates do you have?
EDIT:
Nevermind, completely missed that the first time I read.
