Applying to Junior/Senior Internships as a Sophomore?

I'm a Sophomore and I'm looking for summer internships and obviously most banks are targeting the upperclassmen group. What do you guys think of a sophomore applying to internships that clearly don't want a graduation year after 2018? specifically BofA in charlotte

I recall someone doing this as a sophomore. If I remember correctly, he told the bank he was graduating a year early and had to stick with it. In addition, as the above poster mentioned, he was told that if he didn't get an offer for that summer, he was out of luck in the future. I don't know how the experience turned out for him.

The problem with SA BB positions (not including diversity programs or non-IB programs) is there's an expectation you're ready to start a full-time position the following summer.

Yup I know sophomores who applied and got to the superdays of the MS junior analyst program. If you're a sophomore you should still apply - networking will set you apart and put you at the level of a junior. Might as well give yourself a shot!
