Are bankers really anal about how old your Blackberry is?
I know when you meet up with people in banking, they notice what type of suit or watch you're wearing. But does the same go for what kind of Blackberry you're using? I'm the type of guy who only spends what's necessary (I hate spending more than I have to, even if I have to money to do it. I just end up feeding the executives over at RIMM and Verizon, who end up feeding someone else, who could potentially end up being my competition. Sounds like a stretch, but its true!) Anyways, I use a Blackberry 8330 from like 2 years ago. Never broke once and still works like a charm. But recently I've been meeting up with clients and potential investors and was wondering if this was something that people noticed? Are we supposed to always have the latest technology? Cause everytime I upgrade to something, 4 months later something new comes out again. I was going to wait up and grab one of those Blackberry touchscreens.
wow...
I wouldn't worry about it...
Son, you realize that the leveraged sellout YouTube from a couple years ago was a joke, right?
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Some people take these things too literally
No one cares. I know senior professionals who use the old school blackberry because they know how it works and don't like to learn a nice device. As an analyst, it matters even less.
lol nice. i was hoping you guys would say that ha.
jeses
you're a joker
Most(speaking of older individuals) have a Blackbery as a work phone, and basic small flip phone like a Nokia as a personal phone. A phone that only makes phone calls. Just an observation
I have an email-only 8830 beat up Blackberry. Iphone for calls. No one gives a shit unless it stops working.
