Are the 1-2yr, 2+ or 3+ years of experience qualification requirments for entry level jobs serious?
I see many of these requirements for obvious entry level jobs, and some don't even ask for experience in the same field. Additionally, the job description makes it look like a a job a monkey could do and pays peanuts. This all leads me to question whether the 1-3 year requirements are worth the pixels their printed on.
How about if they ask for prior training programs?
Anyone have insights on knowing who is serious about these requirements and who isn't?
My primary concern is will applying, aside from the loss of invested time could I be blocked by their system for applying to these jobs and being rejected?
will it stop you from applying anyways? I'd ignore it if you are able to do what the job asks...
I had one recruiter e-mail me about not seeing my experience. I gave them a good response, and threw in a direct question to them- they ignored me. That e-mail they sent me was very passive aggressive.
The system I was using (zip recruiter) told me my application was viewed 4 times, so I figured I matched the skills they were looking for.
almost always bogus. I obtained an entry level interview through a reference and was told to apply online for tracking purposes. I went online and immediately texted my friend to make sure I was sent the correct link because it said 3-4 years of experience. She laughed and said thats to "scare people away".
