Career Resources
They're great. They provide a lot of detailed questions that you can be asked in an interview.
Have never used them, but researched them on the site and seem to get very good reviews across the board
They are top notch. Everything covered in detail and explained step by step. Worth the money.
I went through roughly a dozen first rounds with MM and BB firms alike and ended up doing 2 different superdays and was asked very few technical questions that the guides didn't touch on. Big fan of the behavioral guide. Worth the money in the long run.
It's a drop in the bucket. Even if you knew 95% of all the materials covered, would you pay $50 for that 5%? Just imagine if you get one question from that 5%. You tell me if it's worth it.
Would I get a free update when they release a new edition?
they're good, i used the technical and behavioral one last year for the Canadian banks and they got me through all my first rounds, for super saturday ull need a bit more than just the guides though
consulting one is great!
I'm sure the WSO guide is great, but why would you ask about the quality of a WSO product on WSO? That's like going to a Apple store and asking people if iPads are awesome.
Im not asking the people that work here, I am asking people that use the site.
yes
You would be surprised dude, people on here will bash shit if they think it sucks.
I have the WSO guides and the M&I stuff. Both are very good. Honestly, they walk you through the most common questions and give you logical and step by step answers. You could look around the internet, make a list and search out the answers or spend what amounts to a bar tab on a couple guides and be done with it.
$50 bucks is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
tech is pretty good except i didn't get the excel thing that was supposed to come with it :/
really? we had a few tech issues w distributing that file early on but I thought we had gotten everyone. can you PM me your email and I'll get it over to you?
M&I is far superior. Costs 50 bucks more but nailed me a BB.
Trying to send you a pm but it say WallStreetOasis.com is invalid user :(
I recently purchased the technical guide, its very solid. Definitely worth the money, really helped for interviews. A few of the technical questions in the book were questions asked in an interview at BB. Also it is also very useful in helping you freshen up finance/accounting, valuations, etc etc.
can you send me the part about the dcf?
New to the board, but one of the reasons I joined up. Heard top notch things about the WSO guides.
