B-School resumes - Currency Conversion

Hey Guys. Had a quick, but strange question. I am working at an early stage VC fund in an emerging market and am looking to apply to a few US B Schools in the first application round. I was working on my resume and wanted some tips from folks here on whether (Or not) I should convert the local currency into USD to give some context to the reader. Quite obviously, this could be a double edged sword. I have previously worked in IB and have some M&A deals to write about too, for which i'd again have to mention the currency/values.

The adcom could potentially look at this in 2 ways (By my reckoning) -

1 - The AUM of the fund in domestic currency might be in the high millions or low billions. However, when converted to USD, it might amount to the low millions (USD). Higher the absolute number, the better for B School? Not sure.

2 - The adcom might wonder what the number might work out to in USD? Wrong to get them to do the calculation without any context? Or wouldn't it matter at all?

I wanted some clarity/advice on this.

Thanks in Advance.

First I I think it's in the electronic resume section - I don't think it can show up in your paper resume. Second I think converting into USD would be nice. but if they have a local currency option, I would go for it. I know that in some countries / regions, earning equivalent of US$ 20000 is pretty darn good. Make sure you indicate your work location - otherwise.. wouldn't that be a warning sign that your US$ earning is like a seasoned cashier?

Hey my bad man. I think you can ask a MBA consultant (it is tiny to be a paid question) or a MBA admissions person from a b-school (politely obviously... but if you worry about your chances, choose from a good school that you're unlikely to apply).

In my opinion, my logic is the same as above though - if it is converted to USD$, you are instantly competing against others who probably resides in most developed regions that uses USD$ for AUM purposes, and like you said, that makes your AUM look small. But if you use your actual/local currency, it could yield some additional context that works for your favor. Now If you say something like ...... $67mm rupee deal (approximately $USD 1mm)...... I feel it'd be hard to be at fault too.
