Hi there,
I wanted to ask if anyone on here knows anything about Babson Capital Management. What is the pay like? Culture? Work load? They will be recruiting on my campus for a Research Associate position for fixed income. Thank you for your support, greatly appreciated.

I interviewed with them a year ago. I believe they hire one research associate per year. You're in a 3-year program and they expect you to obtain the CFA within that time.
The workload is all about credit analysis. You're given a small industry to start with, e.g. supermarkets. You analyze statement of cashflows, etc. Not too overwhelming, but I don't know how the market turmoil has affected them, especially since their only focus is fixed income.
The pay was around 70-75 all in, but who knows what it is now.
Personally, I would never work there simply because of the location - Springfield, MA - the most ghetto "city" in New England. However, I will say that the surrounding suburbs are very nice, has cheap cost of living, and it's a good place to raise a family down the line.
