BB S&T (CS/MS/Citi) vs. BlackRock Strategy for Summer?
Trying to decide between two SA offers. Equally interested in both lines of work, although I really like project-based, strategic work so BlackRock is winning. However, I don't know if I want to be in that industry forever or whether or not I would have as many exit opportunities as S&T. So, for someone who is from a non-finance, non-target background and just getting into the industry what would be the best move?

What kinds of jobs would you be interested in after? BlackRock and the banks you've listed are all well-known brands..if you like the strategy type of work, and would be interested in moving into a similar role elsewhere, BR is obviously the better choice.
What kinds of exit opportunities do you believe you'll have from S&T? You develop a relatively narrow skill-set (many would say non-transferable, especially if you end up in trading) in S&T and there is no point in doing it if the exit ops you may have (e.g. execution trading at a hedge fund, as one example) aren't interesting to you...
I personally wouldn't take S&T unless I was interested in doing the work for at least a couple of years, and only if work I may want to do after is related.
