lazard does a pretty nice job
What do you care? Looking to hire a bookrunner?
I'll cut you a side deal, 300k per deck. We don't need to involve the bank in this.
what is this? Coffee Talk with your host Linda Richman??
Ha, seriously.
lol
Formatting is 50% of the job.
dunno about pitch books but I like DBs equtiy research reports -- really pretty :) haha
I loved the Merrill Lynch equity research reports before the merger, both for formatting and content.
Lehman had a cool old school style to them as well.
seeing that you are a first year analyst, you must hate looking at these
haven't seen all that many but have to say that legacy BofA looked like shit DB's looks pretty bush league as well
Moelis books look fairly pretty.
evercore by far
I like the charts from GS. The tasteful thickness of the white lines between the triangles of the pie charts, the pastel colours, etc.
On a side note, the day we changed the template for our "title boxes" from boxes to lines was one of the happiest of my analyst stint
Evercore? Nah.
I like some of CS' stuff, old ML stuff too. DB has a nice clean presentation style too.
dont know man, im all evercore...
not sure how old ML looked like, but i sure dont like DB ones
Centerview and its bright colors.
evercore dell BoD presentation was gud -
Except Lazard works in Word...
We need examples of decks from these firms.
Strictly judging on the Dell decks, Evercore and BCG had the best format, but I'm biased to Garamond-esque fonts.
Unless they changed, so does Citi. Does BAML?
BlackRock check out their 2013 outlook - beauty
where do these guys come from?
BAML is definitely PPT.

Citi doesn't work in Word...I don't think any bank does. Word is only used for CIMs.
I assumed CIMs was what Northsider was referring to. Lazard cannot do presos in Word, can they?
False. Lazard works entirely in Word last I heard.
definitely not
No wonder why they say it's a sweatshop there.
Laz does not use Word for pitchbooks. I heard that the London office might have (and might still do), but US Laz does not and hasn't for a while.
Actual examples of decks (by Qatalyst):

Really prefer EU formatting vs US independent of the bank. I just don't like Garamond or Box Titles
What are the generalizations for the EU IBs?
I like Evercore's as well as some smaller boutiques.
I like Barclays, but Ernst & Young has some nice ones too
Best Formatted Presentation You've Ever Seen (Originally Posted: 01/02/2014)
Hi all,
Wanted to see which presentations you've seen that stood out or were incredibly formatted. For me, the Evercore slides for the Dell deal stood out.
Thoughts?
lol srsly?
The one I made last week about how much more efficient it would be to make personal toilets as office chairs.
idk, I thought that presentation was pretty shitty.
None of top of my head, but if anyone know of any (now public) MBB client presentations please do share. Always a great way to learn to study others client presentations.

Calm down.

I think your MD would get a boner if he saw this thread.
Which Bank produces the best marketing materials (Presentation, pitches etc...) (Originally Posted: 05/21/2015)
I am sure that everyone in here has had the chance to see many of the other banks' presentations and marketing materials -- Which in your opinion look the best in term of formatting, content, and overall quality?
Qatalyst
Formatting definitely top notch @ Paul Allen & Co. Their presentations even have a watermark.
We should have a WSO pitchbook competition and find out. It'll be like the hunger games, but everyone represents their bank/group
I agree with Qatalyst, I thought their presentations looked very sharp. Also think Evercore and Moelis are on the high end. I am not a big fan of BAML, HL, CS
My disclaimer would be that I have not seen presentation from every firm obviously so...
Is there any way that I could gain access to the marketing materials?
Qatalyst's Autonomy pitchbooks were leaked. Just google it.
There's also a thread on WSO with pitchbooks from GS, JPM and Evercore. I believe the thread's called Dell LBO Pitchbooks... or something along those lines.
