Best Television Series of All-Time?
I'm about to wrap up the Sopranos which has thus far been the best television show I have ever watched. With great series like Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men and Breaking Bad still running its hard to contrast the old and the new. My current top 5, subject to change :
1. The Sopranos (Best Drama / TV series ever made)
2. The Shield (Extremely good drama)
3. The Office (Best comedy to ever hit American prime-time)
4. Game of Thrones (Beautiful Cinematography and complexity that keeps the viewer compelled)
5. The Wire (I'm a sucker for crime dramas...)
I'm looking for some dark horse picks so I can go torrent another series.

I'd put The Wire higher than
I'd put The Wire higher than The Shield and The Office easily, definitely on par with the Sopranos if not higher. That is just me though.

I watch weeds, entourage, californication etc. but they shouldn't be discussed with the likes of the office and the wire. Boardwalk Empire/ Game of Thrones need more seasons for me to put them with the others even though both shows are very much on the right track.
more obscure shows u might want to torrent: Brotherhood, OZ, Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Deadwood

I thought entourage sucked. The characters don't have enough depth for me to want to watch the show and the celeb cameos, although cool, did not float the show for me.
I'm going to get into SOA when I get a chance and I heard The West Wing was a fantastic show. I'll be checking those out.

Massive recency bias going on here..... did we forget the 90s? Seinfeld > Office by far.
Walking Dead > Breaking Bad
Walking Dead > Breaking Bad (Both great). How to Make it in America was a poor man's Entourage.
Dexter is the best show I have seen, followed by The Wire, and Arrested Development, the best comedy ever.

Was wondering how long it would be before someone mentioned Seinfeld. I definitely agree that Seinfeld is much, much funnier than The Office.
Votropnats they completed the
Votropnats they completed the Rome series (also suggest people watch this show, it was very good)... f that recency bias b.s. I never liked 90s comedies, I thought seinfeld and friends were both horribly unfunny, but hey, I'm not a white person from the east coast so maybe i'm the wrong demographic.
BigBucks -- one does not
BigBucks -- one does not simply "finish" telling the story of Rome. IIRC they planned on having the series span up through 476 AD but the show bit the dust because it was prohibitively expensive.
