I love interviewing with women mid 30s and older, any younger than that, if they are attractive, it gets a little iffy for me. Give me a middle-aged woman any day over a guy in his 20s, but a guy in his 20s over a woman in her 20s.
I've had some strange situations where I was interviewed by both in 2 on 1's and the woman literally didn't say shit, except to ask my about some random ass question. I did have a Japanese woman at a firm hammer me about not being a finance major ... yo lady this is OCR, you picked me to interview, not my problem I didn't study finance... Her bank is going down anyway...
Given my limited experience working in groups with women at banks however, they seem to be pretty decent to work with, also the women in my group were pretty hot. This is S&T tho, can't speak for banking.

I think on the phone -- women are easier to interview with. From my experience, they all talk non-stop, so it makes my interview easier.
But as for in-person... I don't really mind either way.
I interview pretty well with men and women, but given the choice, I think I knock it outa the park with women in that 35+ age range as mentioned before. As westcoaster said, younger then that and I would rather have a male interviewer, but older then that and I am completely comfortable and at ease. They seem to grill me less as well.
My best interviews were with women. One hot and athletic, two not. Male interview performance for me is indirectly correlated with WASPiness. I have a very unrefined social grace and the waspier someone is, the worse off I am. This has always been the case for me, work or socially. I feel no desire to fix this as I barely consider it a problem.

Hate interviewing with women under 35, but love them over 35. My last female interviewer (3 years ago) had enormous tits, leaned over the table pushing her breast down and I can swear they almost fell out of her bra. The other guy interviewing me said that I was the only one keeping eye contact with him during that test. Thank god for peripheral vision. They must have been bored after a couple of days with interviews and decided to make it a game.
Last time I had to focus that hard with my stare was in the military.
I usually have an easier time getting women to like me. Other men tend to view me as a threat and interview accordingly.
During one IB interview I literally talked with a girl about her boyfriend / my girlfriend for our 30-minute interview block.
Wow dude... I see how the petty nature of some of them could ruin an interview. That especially sucks because you didn't even get a chance to talk about your qualifications, and were probably passed over because if it.
I was thinking about mentioning my girlfriend in the interview today because her experience would have provided a great talking point, but elected not to because I thought it would be poor judgment to bring a relationship into the workplace, especially at a first meeting. Good call?
On the contrary, that particular IB was actually very interested in me but I accepted a better full time ER offer before they gave me an answer.
Talking about the interviewers' personal life is actually probably the best thing that can happen. It wasn't a talking point, our respective relationships just came up organically because we really hit it off. She actually told me DURING the interview that I was the first person that wasn't afraid to have a real conversation with her. She really liked the fact that all of my answers weren't canned answers from the M&I guide and told me I would be her number one choice.
I wouldn't bring up anything personal, but seeing as your biggest goal during the interview is getting the interviewer to like you - if they bring up details like that, your golden.

Women are much easier to interview with in general. They are more likely to feel bad for making you uncomfortable because they are nurturing by nature.
