Biotech Equity Research Shops

Hey everyone -- I'm a doctorate of pharmacy looking to break into finance.

I was wondering if any of you guys had any anecdotal experiences on how you managed to transition from a more scientific/clinical background into finance. Also if you knew of any well respected ER groups outside of the typical bulge bracket firms

Thanks in advance!

I too am interested in this info. Would appreciate any advice from anyone who has successfully made the transition from science to finance.

rgentum: I have a science background too (PhD in chemistry). Have not landed a full time position in finance....yet. But am still optimistic as my cold calling / emailing is beginning to pay off with interviews. And that would be my advice to you: get ready for relentless cold-calling and emailing
