Hey,

Just finished their Summer Analyst program in Princeton. I was on the equity side of things. Couldn't have asked for a better experience; the work was challenging but satisfying, and the people were great. The best thing about the internship is that everything is very structured, so you'll have a ton of exposure to the different areas of the firm. Example: there were scheduled "Lunch and Learns" most Fridays in which the interns would have lunch and a discussion with the leader of some group inside the firm.

Prior to the internship, I was nervous that I didn't know enough about finance/equities, but I turned out to actually be ahead of the curve. You'd be surprised how many people in my intern class couldn't even tell you what volatility means. They hire raw talent and potential, so show them that you're willing to work hard and would enjoy the work.

Can't recommend the program enough, let me know if you have other questions.

Great internship, did PMG in London. My team was great, got to attend really interesting broker meetings daily and work on individual projects. Hours weren't that bad (around 60 per week, but I was first in last out). Worked a couple weekends, but just to get a head on the project, definitely not necessary. PMG/FMA definitely better gig than any passive strategies, PAG, tech, retail etc. but if you're interested in those BlackRock is one of the better places to do it. intern program itself was well structured, giving a little exposure to diff areas and a good social scene.

I did this a long long time ago, but you should know what the different departments do, and whether it actually is a good fit for you. FYI, it is very rare for interns to make it into a portfolio mgt group, which is likely what you are interested in. Do some research on PAG, there should be lots of threads on this board. When I was there, lots of people loved it, lots of people said fuck it after three days.
