Hi,
I want to apply for an VC-internship this summer. Till then I will do the BIWS Fundamentals Course to gain some technical knowledge in modeling. Besides that, can anyone recommend ressources to gain knowledge in VC? Is there any 'must read bilbe' of VC that you guys can recommend?

The top venture capital books include Venture Deals, Mastering the VC Game, and the Business of Venture Capital. All of which are reasonably priced besides the Business of Venture Capital.
Agree with all this - also add Andrew Roman's Masters of Venture Capital (he's also published books on CVCs and ICOs in a similar format).

If you are interested in this from perspective of an investor (decisions about buying, selling and growing companies), two very best books on PE/VC that I have read are below (they are more about VC, especially the casebook).
I would admit this is advanced read, not because they are difficult but because they assume you know all the corporate finance / private investing concepts and basics.

"e Boys" is often talked about. There are a ton of technical books on VC, but eBoys is a more colorful "insider" account, similar to MonkeyB and LiarsP, etc. Has mixed reviews too, just like the others. Needs a grain of salt, just like the others.
well, I just stumbled upon this randomly, so I don't know what others think of it. But the Good Ventures, by John W. Wilson, is quite good--it kind of talks about how vc got started, from the words of entrepreneurs and VCs. It's kind of old--1985.
Maybe I'll check out e Boys too.
Read Investment Visionaries by Peter Tanous. First section is interviews with major players in the VC space. Really good insights on how VC partners think about the market.
Im actually in the process of reading Valley Boy by Tom Perkins, one of the founders of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (Compaq, Google, Sun Micro, EA, Netscape, Amazon).
Its pretty good so far. Mix of venture cap experiences, pre-VC experiences and his life experiences.
Anything a little more educational, such as discussing follow-on rounds of funding, accretion/dilution, valuation of startups, etc? I had started to read "Deal Terms" by Wilmerding, which I thought was good, but wonder if there are better out there.

Hey, I have not read many books about VC, but I recently finished a book that I thought was decent: The Masters of Private Equity and Venture Capital. Its basically interviews with the top GPs from PE and VC, they talk about what each GP attributes to his success.

What I believe is the most comprehensive text is: The Business of Venture Capital by Mahendra something.
Also some blogs to check out: Saastr.com a16z.com the blog andrewchen.co Paul Graham has a 'blog' which has some good stuff in it.
Also consider getting on Quora.com (it was started by the old CTO of Facebook) and has so much resources on Venture Capital from the best VCs, founders and angel investors around.
