Boosting a resume
Hello guys. I have just finished high school and this september i will be attending a non-target school in the UK studying finance. Since i am aware of the fact that i need to be proactive, network and work hard to land an internship and eventually a full-time job, i have recently been asking myself what can really boost my resume except for voluntering, charity, etc. So i have come up with the idea to start my own stock analyses blog where i will review books about finance, following my progress of learning financial modelling and making some stock pitches. What do you think? I know that stock pitches and giving my opinion on companies would be better for an Equity Research position, but still i am trying to find ways to show my passion.
Great idea. Shows you started something, people ask about initiative in interviews, and it helps that it's something that you like.
All sound like great ideas, but honestly (since you still have time) study hard and transfer to a target after a year or two if nothing's tying you down where you are.
