Boyhood Trailer Released
Hands down one of my most anticipated films for 2014. Might seem cheesy but is supposed to be very good...already has 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from early screenings. Thought I would share.

Career Resources
That is an incredible premise for a film. The production schedule alone is seemingly impossible to accomplish with all of the union/guild rules and studio money issues. Will put this on the list of movies to catch this year.
Agreed. I don't think something like this has ever been done before.
In some respects the director's commentary might actually be better than the movie in this case. What amazing stories have to have come from this experience? Hope they have some sort of question/answer session that comes out from this.
Also, the actors all had multiple other projects going on during this time. Patricia Arquette was filming a TV show (Medium) during this time. And the demands for TV are legendary. Truly incredible.
Wow, definitely cool - will have to check out.
The only other thing that this reminds me of is Boy Meets World, which basically did the same thing in a TV version.
Oh god Topanga, Topanga
Girl Meets World...definitely my most anticipated TV show of this year. Doesn't matter if it sucks, blind loyalty FTW.
GC, I've been following this film for a while. I am extremely excited for it and I think that it's a huge risk that I hope truly pays off. I think that it's a truly bold move and it looks wonderful. I wouldn't expect Linklater to not have at least one of his cast of regulars (Ethan Hawke is the obvious one here but Julie Delpy came to mind as the other possible collaborator I think Linklater would have trusted here to have along on this journey. Truth is, I'm glad it's Hawke as opposed to Delpy as I can't picture who Delpy would play against leaving the mother's role open for Arquette to take over). This entire project really does have major award contentions if you ask me - and if it's as good as the festival circuit claims, given the nature of this film, I really do hope that it at least gets a nomination, if not the win (assuming it's all that and then some, of course). Regardless, I'm seeing it.
Truth is, I think Linklater's history speaks for itself. He has a fantastic resume of unusually awesome films that have garnered rave reviews. His works, both mainstream and Indie, are well liked and received. I think that this film, no matter how it does in the box office, will solidify Linklater's reputation as a film maker. I really do hope this does well - I do like me some Linklater films.
I'm also glad Linklater chose Hawke...he's a solid actor and seems like he could be a great fit for this father role after watching the Before series.
I definitely think that Hawke was the right choice. I mean, this project started right around the time that Waking Life came out and he was working with Delpy and Hawke on their one shot scene for Waking Life. Plus, he was just starting Before Sunset at the same time, so if you look at the list of regular players he uses, who would you expect he pick. It's not like Linklater's got a collection of pals like Tarentino has at his beck and call.
I've always been a huge fan of the Before Series. I think the Before series is his best set of works. It's definitely required viewing.
Wow, this looks awesome. Media just keeps getting better and better.
This looks incredible. Linklater always delivers. I've been in love with his movies ever since I first saw Dazed and confused.
This is bonkers.
I was at a bar over the christmas break with a mate of mine and drunkenly threw the idea that I might go to film school if finance wears me out. I told him it would be incredible to make a movie over the space of 5-10 years. Damn you Linklater! My academy award nomination is in the shitter.
Still, looking forward to this.
Looks gay
This movie has nothing on Dumb and Dumber 2
Linklater is a genius. The Before trilogy is likely the best romantic film franchise in cinematic history. I've been anticipating this film for a while. The chemistry between Hawke and Linklater is obviously there, and I am glad it has been well received thus far.
